Shelter Volunteer
Hot-Line:
Answer hot-line at the shelter when an employee is unavailable.

Training Requirements:  CORE Training & 24 hours of annual training.

Crisis Intervention Court Advocate:
Attend injunction hearings in each county, answer questions about SafeSpace, and make referrals to our program.

Training Requirements:  CORE Training & 24 hours of annual training.

Shelter Assistance:
Support the daily activities of the Shelter Manager, such as driving the van, planning activities with the mothers and children, and/or helping with the children during group time.

Training Requirements:  CORE Training & 24 hours of annual training.

Thrift Shoppe Volunteer
Assist at our Thrift Shoppes (sales, displays, sorting, handyman, furniture repair, etc.).

Training Requirements:  Minimal training with Store Manager.

Friends General Membership
Clerical/Administrative:
Assist with basic clerical functions at administrative office.

Fundraising:
Assist with the fundraising committee throughout the year.

Special Events:
Assist with special events (planning, organizing, attending, etc.).

Board /Committee Member:
Assist with Board and Committee activities.

Public Speaking:
Provide public speaking, especially at churches and small community groups, and during United Way campaigns.

Health/Resource Booth Participation:
Attend local health fairs and community events.
