Stuart, Fla. – Golfers, sponsors and community supporters came out swinging on May 29, raising more than $150,000 for SafeSpace and Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County at the 4th Annual Tee Fore Two Robert “Pops” Bauman Memorial Golf Tournament at Sailfish Point.
Proceeds from the tournament will help SafeSpace continue providing emergency shelter, legal advocacy, and counseling to survivors of domestic violence around the clock when it matters most. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County, it will fund the mentors, programs, and experiences that help young people reach their full potential.
“It was a wonderful day on the course, but what mattered most was seeing our community come together to support two organizations that change lives every day,” said Jennifer Fox, CEO of SafeSpace. “The generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and donors will have a lasting impact on the survivors and families we serve.”
More than just a golf tournament, Tee Fore Two has become a community tradition that brings people to invest in two organizations making a meaningful difference throughout the Treasure Coast.
The tournament is named in honor of Robert “Pops” Bauman, a man whose generosity touched everyone around him. During the event, his son shared heartfelt stories and memories, reminding those in attendance why this tournament was created and celebrating Pops’ legacy of compassion and service, which lives on through the event today.
Held on Sailfish Point’s renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, the tournament also featured a crowd-favorite raffle. In a generous show of support, the 50/50 Ball Drop winner Mary Beth Bayersdorf donated the $10,000 prize back to SafeSpace and Boys & Girls Club of Martin County.
