The award of $100,000 from Impact100 Martin enabled us to renovate our current garage located on Shelter property to become a trauma-informed care Outreach Center. A trauma-informed design addresses how the physical environment affects individuals physiologically and emotionally. This model creates a supportive environment that helps prevent re-traumatization.
