Palm City, FL – March 2nd – The 16th Annual Harbour Ridge SafeSpace Benefit, held on March 2nd, 2024, was a resounding success, netting nearly $115,000 for the programs and services provided by SafeSpace, a state-certified Domestic Violence center serving the Treasure Coast.
This year’s event marked the introduction of a comedy night format alongside a live auction. “The first-ever Harbour Ridge SafeSpace Comedy Night successfully blended humor with a serious cause, raising awareness and funds for SafeSpace. Our generous members came out to continue our legacy of support for SafeSpace,” said Kelly Solar, 2024 Harbour Ridge SafeSpace Benefit Committee Chair.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our Harbour Ridge benefactors, sponsors, attendees, and donors,” said Jennifer Fox, CEO. “These funds will directly support SafeSpace’s critical mission of providing vital resources and support to Survivors of domestic violence in our community.”
In addition to the Crisis Hotline and Emergency Shelter, SafeSpace provides legal assistance, financial literacy training, emotional and mental health counseling, and other services to empower survivors to create a future free from abuse. Since federal, state, and local grants only cover about 50% of the agency’s expenses, benefits like these are critical to raising much-needed funds.
The outpouring of support from the community sends a clear message: Harbour Ridge stands united against domestic violence and supports the healing of survivors.
